OK friends and neighbors, boys and girls, here is the latest for improved speaker quality. I just had installed 2 - 6.5 Polk D8651 and 2 - 6 x 9 Polk D8691 rear speakers. Sound quality at mid range and high ends are great. Low end bass good if you almost max out on the bass control. Takes more on the sound volume control to get to same level as before. No doubt because of the higher quality speakers. I guess this would have been the same if I had gone with the Infinity Reference or the Boston Acoustic speakers. When I saw the factory speakers I almost laughed. If there are magnets on these speakers they are not discernable with the naked eye. Contrary to other threads the factory speakers ARE NOT PAPER CONES. They appear to be a poly type compund. They are not 2 or 3 way but appear to be drivers only. It would appear that I need to get a seperate subwoofer and power amp. Any suggestions? And no I do want to keep my low frequency hearing so I need just a small add on. THANKS
