line-level convertor

I'll be putting either Boston Acoustic or Infinity in mine, but that's a bit off. I spent way more on the car then planned and have to pay off some other bills first and finish some home remodeling projects first.

I did get a chance to hear the BA SX60 in an 05 Accord powered by a Clarion amp off a line-level convertor. Sounded much, much, much better and would definitely be worth the upgrade in my opinion. I believe he replaced the rear deck speakers with BA's 6x9 2-way speakers also run off that amp. Not sure the power of the amp, but I'd safely guess a 50x4 RMS.

I'll be running the SX60 in the doors (tweeter installed somewhere) and also in the rear deck (no tweeter installed). Probably off a KX350.4 Kicker amp (60x4 RMS) with a clean feed from a JL Audio cleansweep.

If you're not going to drive the speakers off a aftermarket amp, then look for ones made by a quality manufacturer that have RMS numbers close to the peak output of the stock amp (somewhere between 30 watts to 45 watts per channel...I think 30 is correct.) The
Boston Acoustic 65RC would e an excellent choice, as would the Infinity Reference 6022i, Infinity Reference Shallow-Mount 6022si, or the Infinity Kappa 62.7i.
