my parents used to own ford exclusively and thoguht NOTHING of the numerous repairs required just to keep the cars on the road that THEY had to pay for out of pocket. this doesn't take into account numerous small issues that didn't render the car undriveable. my ex owns a sentra, and while overall it has been a decent car, he has been screwed on bad brake jobs by dealerships. he has had a few small issues here and there, and yes his car is out of warranty, and whether or not it's a regular known problem, i don't know, but he did have to pay for those repairs.

after becoming extremely dissatisfied with ford, my parents moved to chrysler/dodge and one chevy (they were steadfast, must support america people by buying american). i dont' even want to begin to discuss the issues with those vehicles!!! they've paid for those cars probably 4 times over in the amount of repairs between replacing/rebuilding engines and trannies numerous times. plus undiagnosable issues with the 95 caravan just stopping, completely shutting down WHILE DRIVING!!!!!! does dodge care? nope. they refuse to back that vehicle at all.

that doesn't go into cosmetic or other small defects with the cars!

they have added a nissan altima to the group in the past few years. significantly less problems than any of their past cars. reason they bought the nissan over a toyota camry or hoinda accord? upfront cost. do they like the altima? yes, they love it, it's miles above their previous vehicles. does it have it's issues? yes. does nissan always jump to cover them under warranty even though they are beyond the warranty now? nope. they don't expect it.

i can trell you all about a few hyundai owners who bragged till they were blue in the face about how much cheaper of a car they got but how nice it was compared to a honda or toyota and how much warranty coverage they get with the car....

guess what?? they are all fighting battles to get things covered under these warranties and are now blue in the face for other reasons. and these are issues with things like transmissions. things that affect actual driveability of the car.

what has honda done with tranny issues that affect driveability of the car??? EXTENDED THE WARRANTY and offered GOODWILL reduced cost fixes for out fo warranty cars!

um, can you PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY this is negative towards honda? can you explain to me why these huge drivetrain issues shouldn't be handled on a different priority level than a RADIO????

and again, i have not seen your answer to this, WHY is 5yrs/60k miles acceptable for warranty coverage on the radio to you? what will sotp customers just a little past that warranty period that YOU PERSONALLY believe is acceptable from begging and complaining when they can't get it covered because they are now out of the EXTENDED warranty period????
