I'm from the school of never buying a brand-new car, if I can save a few thousand dollars for a demo, or slightly used I'd rather go that route.
I picked up a 2004 Accord EX-L V6 Coupe a few months ago for $14,999 (no trade in) 80k miles.
The NADA Trade-in value of the 04 is $16,500 (w/ 100,000 miles), I've put about 10,000 miles on it the past few months (since mid-november).
Because of the seemingly good deal I got on the 2004 (which had a NADA book value of $19k when I bought it), I'm thinking maybe it would be a wise idea to bail out and get a 2007 demo.
There are a few listed for $22999 (2007 EX-L V6's with less than 6k miles) at near-by Honda dealership. I'm curious if anyone has experience negotiating down demo models?
Ideally I'd love to get $22k out the door, plus full trade-in on my 2004 (it's mint). Unfortunately, I can't just go around calling all the dealerships, because there are very few dealerships with 07 demos or leftovers EX-L V6's in black, silver or grey.
