The finance ppl will play games with you...."

Jan. 15 I went down to the dealer that had the best prices around.

1. I Asked for Invoice price without telling them i had a trade in and they said 19900. So next I presented my trade in value i printed from Kelly blue book which was $2200.00. First they offered 2000, so that brought down the price to 17900. During this process they will ask you if your financing or paying cash. Just say you haven't decided yet. I still demanded a lower price but they wouldn't. Do not say a word and just say thank you and leave. They called me in two days and offered 17500. I told them i would get back at them after looking at other dealerships. Call other honda dealerships and tell them this place will give you $$$$ including your trade. I already knew that no one can beat 17500 so i called them back and said " I have someone giving me 16937. Obviously its just a waiting game from there. Salesperson will eventually keep in touch with you. Just say im still looking and im certain that i will purchase a vehicle by the end of the month. Then they should make an offer you can't refuse. (16799)
2. If you want a better APR on the financing. Apply for loan at a bank and get a blank check and present it to the dealership on the day of the purchase. Catch them by surprise. The finance ppl will play games with you...."oh im still waiting for other banks to give better apr"....First they will give and APR. usually 1 to 2% higher than what they can give you. So just ignore it and say I'd rather go with my bank. Then eventually they will bow down and give you what APR u want. They will do anything to finance you since they need to make it up from the low price.
This is the way to get the upper hand. U need to get them at their weakest point. End of the Month where they need to sell the vehicle to avoid paying for the monthly lease for the car sitting in the lot.

This was a Two weeks process.
