'peak' at the CR-V
Permalink

The Subaru is a nice car. Hmm...

Well I got to do my looking around today at 2 dearlerships. One has an 06' demo vehicle with 5k on it. It's an Accord EXL A/T. The A/T is the bummer, I really, really, wanted the stick cry.gif . So I had to move on to the next. Looked at the Civics, I don't fit well in them. I'm 6'1 and still growing (only 16 here lol!) and I managed to hit my head on the pillar during my entry to the Civic, and my eyes were blocked by the sunvisor unless fully tilted forward. Since I have a longer torso than legs, it was a no go. Off to the new Accords, and even a 'peak' at the CR-V (last gen). I've always liked the last gen CR-V, but I have a huge paranoia of rolling over, and seeing princess' thread about her daughter only added to that. Now I've got a strict list of safety features, and my car must have Front & Side Airbags (Head if possible), ABS (wEBD if possible), and if I'm really lucky TCS, but that's a long shot, or requires me too seek out an 03-04 V6 Accord, and those trannys are the entire reason why I don't want to have any part in owning one.

Back to the cars, I looked at an 05' LX w/ misc added acessories, but still I want my sunroof! After that I looked at 3 03' EX's but only one was a 5spd. Then I looked at an 05' EX V6 Accord. High miles (48k), but it was nicely kept, and the white paint looks super sharp on this car when the alloy wheels Honda used for this model year. It was definetly babied, as the paint was ultra smooth as if they waxed it regularly. This car stickered at 19k, but the salesman said if I bought this weekend 18,225 would sell it to me. When my parents arrived, they were focusing more on what I could afford as far as a new car goes. We came to the decision that if I want a new Accord it has to be an SE (or below) unless I take the demo 06' EXL A/T.

At this point I'm feeling moreso that I should wait until I find the perfect car, my car isn't doing me wrong, I suppose just the fact that it's been in my household since I was 6 (Moms old car) has led me to get tired of it. Essentially what I've decided to do is pause the car search, I really want a new one, but I can't find one I really like, and if I'm buying it, it needs to be exactly what I want.

Thnks everyone who added some input to this, once I find exactly what I want, I will definetly show and tell.
