Simple...Honda MusicLink is inferior to what is available aftermarket for less cost. Also, from what I have read MusicLink features an option to voice-select playlists or something, but it means training the iPod and reindexing it somehow...and apparently if you add a song or two it all has to be done over again. Not to mention that while docked with MusicLink the iPod only displays a "docked" message, meaning to manually select a song you have to disconnect it, select the song, reconnect it, then listen.
Honestly, I couldn't be happier with my USA-Spec. I have both a iPod dock AND a aux line-in, I can choose between the two via the headunit, and I can control the iPod both from its clickwheel AND using the steering wheel controls (for next/prev track).
Brianmeg:I have a V6-EX 6MT and it works fine (the USA-Spec). Really all these things do is mimic the in-trunk 6-disc, therefore I'd find it hard to believe the one at Bestbuy (IIRC its the IceLink) doesn't support the EX.
Oh and 1 more thing for those of you in the US...USA-Spec has a "newer" unit out named the PA11-HON2y, which has a built-in bus cable so you don't have to lose XM/buy a separate bus cable y-splitter. Here is a link for it from discountcarstereo (where I got mine from), however other places should carry this version as well:
