I think I put $500 for mine because I knew they had the car, but technically a deposit is a deposit; no matter how much you put down... Most places won't let you charge more than $1000 anyway. What I meant by a large deposit is something more than $1000.
Bernardi Honda is cool, too.... I love how they let you test drive the cars on your own. Visited them twice and got two test drives alone. Also visited Bernardi Subaru and they let me test drive a brand new WRX alone...
