I really like my car. I've only owned it a couple of months but it's easy to see how one could become a Honda owner for life after owning their first. It's easily the best car I've ever owned. Let me rephrase that, it's the nicest and best driving car I've ever owned. Not that I've owned very many cars in my lifetime.

My first car was a 1978 Toyota Corolla SR5 sports coupe (purchased in 1990) that I owned for seven years. That car was a blast, I loved it and drove it into the ground. It was very well maintained but I didn't know anything about car maintenance so I pretty much beat the hell out of it. Amazing it lasted seven years with maybe three oil changes.

My second car was a 1987 Cutlass Sierra. Got that car in 1997 and drove it for six years until it died. God I threw so much money into that piece of junk trying to make it last as long as possible. It only had 20,000 miles when I got it and was supposedly only driven buy a little old lady. It was very clean on the exterior and interior and I thought I had gotten a steal when I bought it for $3,000. But man that car easily ended up costing me $6,000 if not more. One thing went wrong after another. Bad memory.

Next car was a 2003 Mazda 3. Yay, first new car! I decided to buy a first model year car because my Cutlass was costing me so much money to keep running, and the Mazda 3 just seemed like my kind of car. My wife at the time really liked it. I bought the wagon version, the Mazda 3 GT. I got it with zero options because I was trying to save money. That was a stupid move. For a little extra I could have bought a package that would have given me ABS and side curtain airbags but I was being cheap. I was nervous about taking on a car payment.

But the wife is now ex-wife, and I'm making much better money then I was four years ago and I decided to treat myself to a really nice car. Too many painful memories associated with the Mazda, and it had zero safety options. So you can see how I would feel my new Accord is easily the best car I've ever owned. I don't have a family so the coupe body style was perfect for me. I wanted something a little more sporty then a four door. Plus my friend don't mind riding in the back of my Accord coupe, it's actually very roomy back there.

Good luck. I'm sure you'll love the car. The 08's are nice and have quite a few features I wish my 07 had. But I'm going to own this car for 10 years at least, unless something major changes in my life.
