Mine is in the armrest. When I want to use it I pull the cord out through that little phone charger hole (that is what that thing is for, right?). The 6 foot cable that runs from the stereo to the armrest and out of the charger hole is perfect because it gives you enough cord so you can pick up the mp3 player and not be constricted by the length. And when you're done it tucks away nicely in the armrest for a clean look.
