AFAIK, there isn't any single "Master" thread on the topic. But just googling "oil consumption" or "oil burning" along with Nissan or Maxima will bring up dozens of hits. I've even read hypotheses that the reason for the premature oil burning is cylinder wall scoring by particles burned off the catalyst (which is too close to the engine) being sucked back into the engine on valve overlap. Or something like that. I had a Maxima for 3 months, and for reasons not even realated to oil burning, I never will own another Nissan. They just suck.
