Don't the civic have more quality control issues than the accords in general? I've heard more horror stories with civics is all I am going by here so don't take my word for it. Anyway, I think the accord is just a better car assuming you aren't going for a hybrid. Though, it all depends on what you need really. the V6 in the accord gets similar gas mileage to the I4 in the SI, though the I4 in the accord gets much worse gas mileage than that in the Civic. The accord interior is MUCH better imo. If you are going to mod, though, the civic is going to have more support.
