Okay, I've test driven both cars, and oddly enough, I like them both, and I'm having a tough time deciding.
Civic pros: -Price (only $1,000 cheaper, maybe $2K tops) -Gas Mileage -newer design -MP3/XM capable stereo (I know about the EX-L, and can't afford that) -handling -one touch sunroof -cool digital dash
Accord pros: -torque -"feels" a little faster, and easier to drive smoothly -more passenger space -huge trunk -LED tails -marginally better sounding stereo (but no mp3 CDs ) -end of year clearance (still higher price than civic, but gap is much much smaller now) -heated mirrors
Chances are, I'll probably end up in the civic, as I really didn't want to spend the cash to buy a NEW car this time around, but used Accords are so high at the moment, it really makes more sense to buy new for a couple thousand more. Only issue there is I predict heavy depreciation on these if the 08s turn out to be as great as honda says they are.
