Civic's being worked on.

Ive had more warranty issues with my New civic than Ive had with my last five new car purchase's total. The shop was full of Civic's being worked on. Not normal maint items. The oil change/basic maint area was empty. The shop was full of Civic's in all forums of disassembly and reassembly. These were not new cars under going lot prep. They were all new Civic's with warranty issues. And the waiting area was full of not very happy looking people. I also had to laugh at one of the poor service advisors. The dealer had the bay doors closed. It was a very nice day. And for years this dealer had always kept the bay doors open. I would think to keep there service area looking inviting. But here a while back I tried to trade my Civic at a Yota dealer down the street. I was ready to purchase a Yaris, PII a Camry,,, heck even a Tacoma truck. I just wanted rid of the Civic. The yota dealer wouldn't even take my Civic on trade. They had six new Civic's on the back lot that were going to auction in Dallas. All with warranty issues folks got sick of dealing with. Mad about this I asked to see the sales manager or GM. They were very nice. But insisted they didnt want anymore Hondas on there lot. They showed me a camera they have. It looks like the yota dealer owns the property across the street from the Honda dealer. There they have a camera mounted on the building aimed at the honda dealer. It would appear they like to show people just how busy the Honda service area is compared to theres. They also like to point out how there oil change bays are always packed and how there major service area is mostly empty. And its true. Ive been in the lines of folks trying to get in to get warranty issues taken care of before. Have driven by both dealers in the morning. And seen how the yota dealer's service area is relaxed with only a few cars,,, Never any lines. And how the honda dealer has cars and folks stacked up like cord wood.

I would have purchased the Accord if it had not of rattled. There lot had no cust. on it. The show room floor was empty. It looked like they hadnt sold a car all day long. The floor in the finale detail area was bone dry. This dealer has two wash areas for cars. One is the area where you get a wash after major service or warranty work. And the other is the new car prep one and also where they wash and put a quicky detail on a car when you buy a new one.

It was a shame the Accord had to be a rattle trap... frown.gif
