I expected a similar experience when I joined this forum (this is my second stint, so I've been around here a lot longer than my # of posts indicate). However, if you expect mostly love for your '08 Accord in these forums, be prepared for a wakeup call. Many of the owners of previous gen Accords here level some of the most savage criticism against the '08 Accord of anyone that I've seen on any site. More so than even members of Autospies.com, which is notorious for ruthless bashers. While I recognize that not everyone will love the new design and those who don't have the right to criticize it, the motivation behind the spiteful and savage nature of some of the criticisms is beyond my comprehension. There are some more thoughtful criticisms, which can make for interesting and respectful discussions and debates. But there are enough of the flamebait level types to really taint the atmosphere around here, if you're looking for a "buddy" site. Nothing wrong with being a "buddy" site, nothing wrong with not being one, but I wouldn't place driveaccord.net in the "buddy" site category. So if you're looking for a "get together, have some fun, feel good, talk about your cars, exchange a few 'attaboys', have a few beers, bond over your common experience" kind of atmosphere, this ain't it. Sometimes, but not often. This thread isn't anything unusual... in fact, it's pretty much typical in my experience.
