Wow ... this thread is going in a weird direction. People are stating their opinion on what luxury is to them. And frankly, it sounds like a few here have owned cars that are way more expensive or luxurious than a honda or an acura so slamming their opinion with your own if you haven't been in their shoes is kind of a knee jerk reaction to something that hasn't been experienced.
My employees that own bimmers have nothing but problems with them. I don't know too many people who have had their car in the shop for a month and a half while the dealership tries to figure out what's wrong with it. But I have an employee who's dealt with that on his luxurious bimmer. That's not luxury to me for a perceived "luxury" car but who am I to decide. And as far as "loosening up" I have 33k on my 06 and it doesn't feel any different as the day it was new nor does it have any rattles to speak of. As far as "cheap, hard plastic" have a seat in a new MB C350. An Accord interior feels like a New Orleans cat house by comparison.
The most filthy rich person I know, my uncle, who could write a check for all the Veyrons and Enzos' that one could ever want or need, buys a new Accord every year because an Accord is what luxury is to him. He doesn't even get an EX. So luxury is in the eye and mind of the beholder. If you don't feel that an Accord is luxury than that is your opinion. Others may feel differently.
