running higher octane fuels

I also drive a long way each day...100 miles round trip...so I can feel your concern. As you opined earlier, you're probably jumping the gun on the fuel economy at this point. I check every tank, and you saw how my FE has increased. I still think it will creep up a little more from what I've heard.I wouldn't recommend filling it with 91. The manual says very plainly that there is no advantage to running higher octane fuels...the computer adjusts for the appropriate mixture based on the fuel anyway from what I understand. Others may/will disagree on the whole gasoline/octane discussion, and it has indeed been discussed at great length on this and many other forums. But for my money, I've seen no cost-effective advantages to higher octane fuels, and since Honda says stick with 87, that pretty much seals it for me.As always, YMMV...literally!
