The '03 V6 ATs tranny issue is primarily just the second gear, so if it has other things going on, then NO, it's not the problem of the oil jet recall. They have replaced several out of warranty though.
If looking up your VIN in the computer shows it had the oil jet kit put on then it's likely the truth. But SOME have failed anyway. Usually way before your's. The running theory is that if it's not done perfectly then the ATF still doesn't get where it needs to be just right. But there isn't anyway to prove it. We've been trying to find a pattern. Things like same techs have troubled trannys & such.
