Need to look deeper. European cars higher compression, higher octane gas - so power difference is arguable.Standard F22 as in US Accords C.R. 9:1 - 2.2litreMine F20 11:1 2.0litreI run either 95 or 97 octane. I was told that US gas is 87 octane - is that right ?In general, we do go for smaller engines although a normal family car like the Accord would be 2 litre. GTI's/GTE's which I have much experience of [bone crushers !], are normally 2 litre but highly tuned [engine and chassis]. Not much point in high power if you cant get it down on the road. So in this as in certain other areas, it not the size that matters, its what you do with it.Price of fuel [prepare to weep !] currently £1.04 per litre [about $9 UK gallon but I think US gallon is 20% less than UK. US gallon defined as 3.8 litre, UK as 4.5 litre according to Google. So equivalent would be about $7 -- Edited by Dana at 11:11, 2008-04-05-- Edited by Dana at 11:12, 2008-04-05
