I was driving around today during my lunch break for a little bit. I was the second car stopped at a light in the left lane on a 3 lane (each way) road. There was no one in the middle lane but I needed to turn left in a short distance anyway.
So the light turns green and I start accelerating like normal. I hear a noise at the back right wheel well.. I thought I ran over something but I was paying attention to the road and didn't see anything. I thought maybe something just happened to roll across the road and just the right (or wrong) moment.
When I got back to work, I didn't even think about looking at what it was.
Because of the way I was parked at work, I never even saw that side of the car until I got home, and saw this nice mess. I'm under the impression that the noise I heard was someone who was driving down the middle lane and threw something at my car.
It looks like crap but I'd hope that people don't drive around with crap, ready to throw it at new cars. I'm guessing it was maybe a pastry of some sort..
The good news is that whatever it was didn't leave any scratches or dents and I was able to easily clean it up with a microfiber cloth and some spray wax. I really can't believe someone would do that though - really pisses me off.
