I plan on keeping my 96 until the wheels fall off I think. With only 114065 miles, no timing belts etc due until 180k, I'm good to go for awhile. I've found that the people who have problems with Honda's are the people who don't maintain them well (common failure aside). I'm sticking to the Honda service schedule and doing fluids every 30k and 60k miles. I think I've got a winning formula!
I've calculated that at the average miles I drive a year in this car in 10 years it will have 209k miles on it. If Josh got 300k out of his 93, I'm sure my Accord will still be running like a top in 2018 when it's 22years old; much like my 1986 Accord that will be pushing the 22yr mark very shortly at 280k miles.
The 86 will probably most certainly go before the 96. I really want a LX-i or an SE-i. I know that carb will give me troubles sooner or later. But it's good little car for the time being.
