Have to disagree with you there. I got my 7th gen before the 8th gen's were on the lots and I got it for almost $1,000 under invoice. That would have been unheard of when the 6-speed coupe came out for the 03 model (first model year). As a matter of fact, not only were people not getting it below MSRP, they were paying more than MSRP in many cases to be the first on the block with a new 6-speed coupe. You have to give it at least three years for the hype to die down before you can buy for invoice on a new model that has more demand than supply (currently the case with the 6-speed 08 coupe).Plus not only do you get a killer price when you buy right before a new model is supposed to come out, but you get the best made car of the current generation. Just like my 7th gen is rock solid because Honda had five years to perfect it before I bought it, in four more years the 8th gen should be problem free as well.So it's really a win-win when you buy at the tail-end of a model year. You get a fantastic price on the car, you get a problem free car, and you get a car with all of the updates the manufacture has applied for that model year (i.e. the 06-07 refresh for the 7th gens). You just have to be patient, and that's not a problem for me. I bought my car only 7.5 months ago, so I"m in no rush to replace it. And while I'm really liking the new 8th gen coupe, who knows what I'll do in four years, and who knows what will be on the market in four years for my price point ($30K and under). Not having a car payment is very, very appealing to me, so there is equally a good chance I won't be buying anything in four years and enjoying not having a car payment.
