No knocking of Inifinity assumed here. And it is true they are best on mid and high range...that's what I've always used them for anyway. I always found them to do a great job on reproducing good clear sound without ever becoming shrill.I always used a 12" for bass...My opinion: It's the threshold you cross from 10" to 12" that goes from "punching" bass to providing real "deep" bass. This is all asuming traditional boxed units btw. Hey RTexasF, I have always wanted to set up a bass unit just like what you have. How well does it work?So Bullseye, you've got some good input here from the others. If you can find a good place for demo, at least listen to some of these for a reference. (You could always listen to the Inifinity for instance and then do some comparison shopping.) I'm jealous for your opportunity...share and let us live vicariously through your efforts.
