you cankeep the upper hand and get numbers for things before ever stepping foot into *theri* territory. then when you do actually go to a dealership, phone/internet deals in hand, if they try to start adjusting that number in ANY form and you are a well educated consumer, you can quickly catch this and walk away from the deal.the whole, ill buy it toxday bit only works on depserate dealerships, like uh, shall we say, gm???but the spreadhseet (if you use it) will also enable you to more easily catch any number games they may try to play. they changed the price on my accord when they changed the trade in value for my civic. they swore the end result was the same. i went home, plugged it into my spreadsheet to double check, and it actually WAS the same. they wanted ti worked out thenew way for accounting records (i understand the thnking there thanks to my acctg background.... not that i WANT to understand it. it's basically padding th ebooks to make things ultimately look more favorabl, while the actual transaction didnt' change.)
