Hi All. I have owned Honda cars since 1976, and the 4-cylinder models have always been more durable than the V6's, and the technicians at the Honda dealer concur that the 4 will hold up longer than the 6 and be cheaper to maintain, especially with them moving to a timing chain on the 4 but still having a belt on the 6. The 6 definitely accelerates better, but I love the gas mileage I am getting with my 2005 EX-L with the 4-banger. Overall a terrific car!
