If you even have owned a 6cyl, I am telling you it would be tough to go back to a 4.
When deciding between the 4 and 6 Accord, all the reviews I read indicated that the refined 4 would be plenty of power. From the standpoint of city drving or highway cruising this is a fair evaluation.
I test drove the 4 first and gave it a decent workout. I could have lived with it if I had to as it is still a fine car.
I bought the 6cyl for these reasons.
1) Drive by wire (electronic throttle) 2) No engine/steering wheel vibrations while idling with the AC running. 3) Much improved acceleration and hill climbing with the AC on. 4) Very quiet while interstate cruising at 70+ @ 30+ mpg. 5) Power to pass safely on demand. 6) Minimum gas mileage penalty. (Averaging about 26mpg for my daily commute of 40 miles.) 7) I could afford to.
The Accord EXV6 also included features I wanted such as heated seats, Homelink, strut supported hood, XM radio, and hood and trunk lid liner.
