2.0T engine
Permalink

I love pretty much all of the 4's. I'd love to own just a regular standard shift A4 (quattro of course). I also really love the 2.0T engine. It really has the perfect amount of power for a car that size and weight. It also feels solid as hell.

I would have one right now if it weren't for the reliability stuff. In my experience, they are pretty solid for the first three, maybe four years, but fall off after that. My family has owned a 2001 passat, a 2002 a4, and a 2003? taureg. The A4 had some serious issues with engine oil sludge at about 80k. Why the audi dealerships thought it would be a good idea to run a synthetic blend for intervals that were around 10k I believe, in a car like the A4 that is totally beyond me. Even before that happened it sounded like a bad idea immediately the first time I heard it. But, my mother follows manufacturer suggested intervals to a T, I probably would not have (I'll stick with 3-5k intervals with SYNTHETIC oil thanks).

I'm really eager to see what porche does to vw as a whole.
