I think the stereo region is the best looking part of this car. I have a nav system so mine might be different. The knobs are black plastic, the only silver that was added to mine in the mmc was the silver around the nav screen I believe, and it is very understated and looks perfect, especially w/ the metallic interior trim kit. I think that the 03-05 rear end looked better in a lot of ways though and meshed a little better w/ the rest of the car. I wasn't sure about the carbon fiber trim in the beginning, but I found that it looks a lot better with a little contrast that the metallic trim kit adds. I didn't like it with the black on black interior that I had though. I mean, it's still plastic, but most interior accents in most cars tend to be "look alike" plastic stuff. Even the wood look trim in my father's lexus looks like cheap plastic to me (it may just be wood with a lot of crap over it, id have to take a closer look). I guess I'd rather see a simulated artificial material than a simulated material like wood or stone of some sort.
