Back-handed and indirect insults

Hmm interesting reaction.. It was not, and never will be, my intention to offend anyone, and if indeed you were offended then I am sorry for that.. I was merely giving a diff viewpoint.

Is there no alternative? I know you can import cars for your own personal use as my friend in Penn imported a Porche 911 many years ago. smile.gif .. A small s/h diesel say for example an AX 1.4 can be bought here for 2-3.000$ .. then you have to add the import cost, I don't know what that would be,.. but... an AX diesel is dead easy to maintain, and spares could be bought on the net (just as I bought WP from the US last week) parts are dirt cheap, and it would be ideal for college kids living away from home on mini budgets. I say that because most of them are used by students here. (some of them illegaly run on cooking oil! lol tsk tsk) And the car would last for many years.. Is that not a plausible option? smile.gif

I fail to see that I insulted anyone? .. Ignorant? .. if the smallest saloon available to you is the Accord then you're right, I thought you had access to many smaller cars like the 1.4 Civic that are clearly a better buy if it's MPG you need.. dunno.gif

The good news is, Honda will start selling Diesels in the US shortly, I also believe the "Smart car" will be available over there soon? so that will help people who need really good mpg from a car. .. smile.gif
