I personally think LOUD mids/tweets behind your head messes up imaging. Midbass behind your head is OK. Bass can basically be installed anywhere......its much less directional than midrange and highs. When I upgrade the speakers in my car.....Im leaving the stock 6x9s......they actually make great midbass drivers. They arent overpowering. I will replace the doors and the dash speakers with good components. I already have the low end in place. Have a good one!!!
