Well, count me it. I am the proud new owner of a 2008HondaAccord EX-L in Basque Red Pearl/Ivory Leather!
Briefly, I did not plan on getting the new Gen. 8 Accord. One day, however, something magical happened. I was at our local dealer (Boch Honda, Norwood, MA) getting an oil change on my 07 CR-V when, in stopping by the showroom, got a good look at the redisgned model; inside and out. Unbelieveable, the Accord was, and went home to tell my wife. About two weeks later, dealer sent me a letter advising of buy-back sale, corresponding with phenomenal March prices, including a sale on all non-V6 Accords. (EX-L Accord was offered at $21,988 excluding TTL & destination.) So, long story short, my wife obliged me with a test drive, and after a bit of negotiation, I traded in the CR-V and drove home in my new 08 Accord! Don't get me wrong: the CR-V was a fine SUV, but the Accord just suits my needs and style better. Extra HP is nice, too. Wife drives an 05 VW Passat AWD, but think she is now eyeing the Accord as well.
In closing, I want to thank the kids over on the Hondasuv.com forum for recommending this site. After visiting this forum for the past week, I want to comment on what a great community it appears to be both for insight and discussion. I look forward to contributing!
