I know for 2006 and 2007 model years they bumped up the J30A5 four horsepower. Supposedly through extensive improvements to the airflow of the intake and exhaust systems. Only four horsepower, what's up with that? Why even bother? The car isn't going to go any faster because of four horsepower so there isn't any performance gains. Usually when manufactures revise the engine they give you 10 or 20 horsepower. If all they could get was four extra horsepower I don't even know why they bothered.
I chalk this up to one of the most pointless engine updates I've ever heard. Probably just a marketing trick, maybe Honda thinks 244 sounds better then 240? What do you guys think?
