Amp wiring drivers side door
Permalink

Just bought a 2005 Honda Accord EX (with leather seats if it makes any difference) and was looking to install a sub. I have two questions about running the amp power wire from the hood to the trunk.

1. How does one remove the trim on the bottom of the drivers side door. It seems like its all one piece including the trunk release, and gas cap.
2. I found the two clips on the front of the back seat. Once these are released you can lift up the front of the seat, but I still cant pull it out. Is there a bolt or something holding in the bottom of the back seat that I need to remove? where is it?

After searching the forum it looks like I just need to patch into the rear speaker wire, and hook into the high level inputs for my amp. I plan on using the "not a cigarette lighter" to wire the remote cable.

My main obstacle is the door trim though as I have managed to fish it under the back seat already, but I would still like to get the back seat off and position the wire a little better.
