Well, today I was back and forth between a V6 6MT coupe and an I4 5MT sedan. After checking insurance, and some of the gas mileage threads, I was sold on the four cylinder sedan.
After test driving it again, I realized that four cylinders is enough for me. Sure that V6 is LOADED with torque, and more fun to drive. As much as I drive, every mile per gallon will count. Plus, I really wanted the extra space that a four door provides. Something just felt right.
Anywho, I got my 3rd least favorite color, BLACK. (only thing worse is beige and silver..... flamesuit on).
Its a 2004 EX-L 5MT 2.4 with 41,500 miles on the clock.
Pictures will come later, as it rained on the way home, and its dark. It sucks that I can't even remember the last time it rained in our area, and it pours tonight.
Price was $14,750 +TTL. I know its probably not the best deal. Furthermore, I could have probably scored a brand new VP for close to that. I guess I wanted to spoil myself a bit, and get all the bells and whistles, not to mention the safety of side airbags. I know the heated seats will be nice in the winter (had them on an 05 Legacy GT, that I regretfully sold in 06).
On the way home, I noticed a problem. The damn map lights don't seem to work. Neither of them do. I'm really hoping its just a fuse (do they have fuses?). I combed this car from head to toe, and can't believe I didn't check the maps. Oddly enough, the little cool pin sized dim light that shines on the shifter actually does work. Its not honda certified, but at least came with a 3 month 3,000 mile warranty.
Other than that, I'm already trying to think of a way to get this stereo to play mp3s. I'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen, unless I get an iPod (and that little adapter thingy).
Well, there you have it . I'm sure you'll see some more posts from me as I learn more about this car. Also, kudos for having one of the most elaborate FAQ thread indexes I've ever seen on a car forum.
