Question for you Navi experts.

I have a 2003 with Navi. I've been wanting to add the iPod feature to my car for some time now. Done a lot of research for an interface that works well and does all the features that I would like. I know their are many to choose from out there and I decided on the Dice unit and have one on order. I choose this one for a number of reasons and one of them was because it is suppose to show text on the display. However, they say the display will only work on units that are XM ready. My unit is pre XM. It has a CD/AUX button instead of the CD/XM button. So I have started searching to see if it would be possible to find a Navi unit for a 2004 or 2005 model and drop fit it in to my car. My question is if anyone knows if this will work or not. My hopes are that if I do find a 04-05 Navi unit, it will simply replace my current head unit without having to add any additional wires. I know the XM part itself wont work, especially since I won't have the antenna for it but with the addition of the Dice unit that would be disabled anyway. I'm not looking for XM anyway. I just want it to be XM ready so it will show text. Any information that anyone can supply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
