2004 Odyssey EX... what's a good purchase price?

Just thought I'd ask what all you people here think a fair price would be for a certified 2004 Honda Odyssey EX (no RES) in white with 45,710 miles on it. A friend's looking to buy one for his wife....

Car is in pretty good condition. Interiror is clean, engine is clean, exterior is clean except for a few scratches/nicks on the back (trunk?) door. Wheels are clean with no scratches and tires look new. It's pretty much stock.

Dealer asking price is $17,999

He has a 2000 VW Jetta for trade in. Dealer said they'd give him $5000 for it. He tried to do $315 a month x 36 months plus trade-in but they wouldn't go for it. He might go as high as $325 a month x 36 months plus trade-in (talking it over with wife). He definitely doesn't want to go more than 36 months; Dealer tried to get him at 60 months. lmao.gif

According to Black Book (which is what I've been told dealers usually go by instead of Blue Book), the car is considered to be in average condition with a trade-in value of $15,160 and a retail value of $17,200.

According to CARFAX, the car has a clean title and was sold and purchased by dealer at an auction.

... think $325 x 36 months plus trade-in is reasonable? Looking on eBay, I see that similar Odyssey's go for an average price of between $15,200 to $15,700.

.... just trying to get some ideas. Thanks.
