I just registered my new 2006accord ex I4 5 speed manual 4 door. I havent got the chance to drive it very much since DMV was closed since Friday for a double holiday in VA, but love the car so far. I bought it directly from the original owner with 16k miles (it was his ex-fiancés car). Doing some research it seems to have every option (even the under coating) except for navigation, homelink, and a bigger engine and auto trans, but I think ill like the easy gas sipping.
This is also my first Honda. The previous owner got it serviced by the dealer it looks like at about 4-4,500 miles each time. The only thing I am worried about is the extended warranty. The manual shows JM&A Group on it, but it seems to be written by Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc. It is the platinum warranty and is good for 6 years 100k miles, so I have 4 years left. Does anyone here have this extended warranty or do you think ill be good with the fact that he didnt change the oil ever 3k? Also I want to switch to synthetic oil. Whats the best brand synthetic oil you all use?
