Lets replace the map lights
(Preview)
These are a little harder but its basically the same process note: it won't be beneficial to unscrew the whole roof unit from the screws inside the flip down sunglass holder, because there are screws behind the map lights holding up the unit Put the screw driver behind these four points and pry the case...

CTS's COTY
(Preview)
I personally think CTS's COTY designation is well deserved. I saw a CTS the other day when I was walking out of work, and it looked simply gorgeous. I haven't personally seen the interior, but from ALL the reviews I've read, the interior is as nice, if not nicer than its german and japanese counterparts...

258 horsepower engine
(Preview)
Congratulations to the 2008 Cadillac CTS for winning Motor Trend's Car of the Year for 2008! It's a great car, much improved over its predecessor. I test drove a new 2008 Cadillac CTS with the 258 horsepower engine, automatic transmission, leather/heated seats and stereo upgrade. What a surprisin...

CTS is a nice car
(Preview)
The CTS is a nice car. I am also a fan of the Lambda triplets and the new Malibu. I still wouldn't buy any of them. My Honda has given me over 70,000 trouble-free miles...far more than I can say for my last GM vehicle. GM needs to prove to me that their new designs have *actual* quality instead of just *percei...

6k less for repairs not related to maintenance.

and about 6k less for repairs not related to maintenance..... honestly, it would have been nice to see the new accord wn the award, but at the end of the day, those so called "awards" hold no value to me whatsoever. i could really care less about a piece of chromed / gold painted piece of plasti...

CTS winning
(Preview)
I'm fine with the CTS winning. I think it's a pretty sweet car and is one of the few domestic cars that I would actually want to own. It seems that, besides the Corvette (and trucks), the Cadillac CTS and STS are the only GM vehicles that can actually go toe to toe with their European and Japanese competiti...

"MT knows their stuff!".
(Preview)
Be consistent people... if the Accord had won, everyone here would be saying: "See! The 2008 Accord is a megahit and the greatest!!" and "MT knows their stuff!". Now, to dismiss the CTS and MT as not worthy is just sour grapes. My 2003 Accord lost out to the Infiniti G35, and I had n...

variable clutchless compressor
(Preview)
My we get hostile quick..don't we. I meant no offense but apparently some was taken. What does a car with a variable clutchless compressor have to do with a 7th gen Accord, which is what we are talking about here, that you can disable the A/C from always kicking on when in defog mode? Don't quite get your p...

Automatic climate control system
(Preview)
Is there a trick that prevents the automatic climate control system from turning on the A/C every time you turn on the fan? I don't mind the A/C switching on with the Defrost setting, that's fine, but I would love it if I could turn on the fan (from the OFF setting) without the A/C kicking on. It drives me cr...

A/C system

Which is why, so I understand, that they set up the A/C system the way that they do. They are thinking for the masses who don't pay attention to this. I pay attention and will allow my A/C to run every so often but then, I want to be able to turn it off to save the .5mpg.....besides, it is dry enough in the winte...

EX-L model
(Preview)
True, only the EX-L model comes with dual climate control. Based on what Succinct is saying (who also drives an EX-L), you may be on to something. It seems that Succinct was also able to disengage the A/C while in defrost from the factory as well.

A/C light
(Preview)
I attempted this mod this morning and here's what I found out. Before: Both defrost buttons (full defrost and defrost/floor mix) would automatically engage the A/C without turning on the A/C light. Pressing the A/C button at this point would turn the light on and off, but I was not able to disengage th...

A/C is actually running
(Preview)
As far as I know, the climate control system in the '06-'07 VP is mechanically identical to the LX, SE, and EX (2.4L). It seems that some people might be confused about the fact that the A/C is engaged automatically in defrost mode despite the fact that the A/C light on the A/C button remains OFF. I believ...

2006 V6 EX-L
(Preview)
This is weird, but not only does my 2006 V6 EX-L have a separate A/C on/off button, but every other Honda I've owned (nearly a dozen) going back to my Gen #1 1980 Accord Sedan with its dealer-installed A/C has had a separate A/C on/off switch. I find it strange that the current VP would not offer that funct...

HVAC to the defrost mode
(Preview)
I did this on my Accord not too long after I bought it. The A/C still comes on when you switch the HVAC to the defrost mode but you can turn it off when you want to - I really like that since I don't like driving with A/C on if I don't need it on - you can really feel when the compressor is on when driving in city traf...

its back up its not meant to be always used... but say there was some sort of event that randomly created a large density of humidity in a small area... Air is already dry
(Preview)
Why do people use lotion more in the winter, because the air is already dry. Heat does not significantly add moisture to the air if there is nothing/almost nothing to evaporate. There are many times that I turn the AC compressor off even though I intentionally have the air circulating through the defr...

Heated air accomplishes
(Preview)
U may want to do this during winter driving and wish to clear windshield of fog. No reason to use the a/c to dry the air since heated air accomplishes the same goal. Nevertheless it is always wise to run a/c for 5-6 mins every couple weeks or so even in winter.

2.0T engine
(Preview)
I love pretty much all of the 4's. I'd love to own just a regular standard shift A4 (quattro of course). I also really love the 2.0T engine. It really has the perfect amount of power for a car that size and weight. It also feels solid as hell. I would have one right now if it weren't for the reliability stuff....

4th gear would climb
(Preview)
Sorry, seems like I did misunderstand your question first time around Since I don't own a 6speed, you have to take this FWIW. I think that having the extra ratio does have a huge advantage. There are times when it comes into play. In my 5-speed, I found that something 5th gear wouldn't climb the hill, 4th...

Dynapack measures HP at Wheels
(Preview)
I personally DONT believe that Dynapack measures HP at Wheels. Everyone says Dynapacks numbers are inflated a bit becuase the 268 # they came out with is exaclty what HONDA advertise the Accord at and that is at the Crank. The 240 at Wheels measured by Dynojet is more accurate, becuase the car was put on...

Honda rated the engine
(Preview)
Benji repeated nothing that you said. Like he said, and what common sense (or even english) SHOULD tell you, is that rating at the CRANK, rating at the HUBS, AND rating at the WHEELS are all different things. A rating of approx 240hp at the wheels translates into about a 10% power loss from the crank down...

inflating by 2 psi over the door recommendations will not do any harm to the tires. ive been running about 40-41 psi in my tires for over 5,000 miles now without any trouble. i had to replace one so far because a pothole caused sidewall damage, but that was mainly my fault for not noticing the pothole to be...
