I am very interested in others opinions as well. I have an '05 Accord EX-L. I want to connect my 4g nano and be able to charge and control it with the steering wheel controls. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Soundgate's SNHOND3 or Blitzsafe's HON/AUX DMX V.2 or PIE HON03/PC-SON??
(Preview)
For what XM will continue to cost, I decided I'd rather add an auxillary input and use either an inexpensive MP3 player, or my Dell Axim in my '06 EX-L (non-Nav). I've been monitoring all the "Aux Input" posts, and doing other research, and they seem to offer the same feature - basically, unp...

Will my gas mileage improve as the car breaks in?
(Preview)
My first tank of gas is not what I expected. I'm in break in mode too. So haven't been driving her very aggressive. Keeping it under 4k and under 75mph. I don't know if my first tank what all the way full but will fill completely today.

Average MPG
(Preview)
Average MPG for me right now is 23.5MPG...not that great for someone who drives about 60-70% highway...but then I do it at speeds around 140kph/87mph (and probably half the time I'm no higher than 5th gear). Sure I'd get better economy if I drove 60mph...but I have to ask, where's the fun in that (if I wa...

running higher octane fuels
(Preview)
I also drive a long way each day...100 miles round trip...so I can feel your concern. As you opined earlier, you're probably jumping the gun on the fuel economy at this point. I check every tank, and you saw how my FE has increased. I still think it will creep up a little more from what I've heard.I wouldn'...

17-18 w/99% city driving
(Preview)
It should go up, I was getting around 17-18 w/99% city driving and now with just over 3000 miles I get 20 w/99% city driving. I hope it goes up more as it breaks in more. From what I've read your mileage should peak between 25-40,000 miles......

27-28 mpg driving
(Preview)
Your post and sig don't say which engine you have, but I'm sure mpg will improve. My V6 now has about 7500 miles. The first few tanks climbed from 23.X to 24.X to 25.X and so on. Now, I usually get 27-28 mpg driving about 90% highway, 10% city.

genuine Honda stuff
(Preview)
I assume that the fluid in our '93 got done at 80,000km, and I've just had it dine again at 170,000km. Used the genuine Honda stuff, and it shifts so much better now, especially when the car hasn't warmed up yet. It's pretty easy to do if you can get to the right places, and find a way to get the oil into the hol...

MTF in my 1992 Accord
(Preview)
I replaced the MTF in my 1992 Accord with Amsoil Synthetic MTF. The shift quality before was quite bad, especially when cold. Now it is much better. Second gear engagement still requires a bit of a yank on the stick, but on the whole much better. Cold is now not an issue. The car had 144K miles on it when I re...

engine oil
(Preview)
Change it. The transmission fluid is basically 10W-30(? or similar viscosity) engine oil with additives in it. As with any engine oil, it not only breaks down with use but also with time. It's so cheap that there's no real reason not to change it. I've done mine twice in 25K - overkill, but I wanted the ne...

Hey, everybody. I'm sorry that I fell off of the map. I ran into a huge expenditure on the girlfriends car, so I decided to move my problems to the back burner. The car runs fine and the damage is strictly cosmetic, so I haven't really been that worried about it. I apologize for not getting back to people in...

Okay, okay... you guys got me. I'm a city boy, and I have no idea how much a fully grown deer weighs. I estimated (at 85mph) that the deer was about half the weight of a full-grown cow. I thought that I read somewhere at sometime that cows weigh around 1200 lbs. So, if the deer wasn't 600 lbs... I don't care!!...

Another accident with that car
(Preview)
i think that the damage to the underlying stuff is more serious than what you are stating here..... if you don't fix the bent metla that may be underneath there, and you get into another accident with that car, that area will already be weakened, and will not be able to withstand as much damage as the rest...

I had a subaru that hit a deer. It can be fixed pretty well. I found someone to do the painting pretty cheap. It looked cheap, but it was good enough for a 95. Changing your battery won't help. Your battery is still 12.5v while the alternator puts out up to 14 volts. Dimming is normal. As princess mentioned earlier, excessive dimming is the result of a bad solder joint in the ELD. But dimming is normal. Many modern cars do it because they don't run the altern...

Most Honda's do this, it's pretty normal. I feel other ill effects too, if I turn my lights and/or defroster on, it's enough of a draw that I can feel a definite hit in power in 1st...car needs more gas to get it going. Since it is caused by the ELD unit, I think you have a couple choices. 1) Disable the ELD uni...
