First off, you should decide if you really need a service plan on a Honda. A lot of folks do not - they purchased a Honda in part for its super reliability so why spend more money?
If you do decide you need coverage, only get the factory backed Honda Care plan. You can ask any "Warranty Gold" customer or those of any of the dozens of warranty companies that went out of business taking their customer's money with them - those folks will tell you not to risk it.
Also only buy from a discount online dealer, the two best last time I checked are Saccucci Honda and Bernardi Honda . They will do the $0 deductible, 120k, 8 year plan for $940 for an I4 Accord. That is the longest plan you can buy. You can also check College Hills and Honda Acura World, but I think you will find their prices are higher than the two I linked - at least on the max plan.
You also need to buy before you hit 6k on your Accord - since your options go down and price goes up after that point. That is if you wanted the max coverage and $0 deductibles. If you are thinking for a shorter plan or a $100 deductible plan, then you may be OK waiting until 35.9 months and 35.9k miles to buy - you pay more but keep your money in the bank for nearly 3 years.
HC is fully refundable within 30 days of purchase (if no claims) and pro-rated refundable (less a processing free) after that. So if your car is trade, stolen, or "totaled" you can get some of your money back. A $50 fee will transfer the HC to a new owner if you sell the car yourself. This can be a big selling point down the road - you can offer a "CPO-like" used Accord with warranty while everyone else has a no warranty used car to sell. HC can't be purchased once the factory warranty has expired by a bit.
